William "Bill" Beasley Obituary

William Franklin Beasley passed away on April 19, 2025 after a ten-year illness with Mantle Cell Lymphoma.  He was the son of David and Ada Lee Beasley, born on December 16, 1942.

Bill grew up near Gardner, Kansas, graduated from Wellsville High School and Pittsburg State University.  After college graduation he went to work as a management trainee for JC Penny Company.  He worked there for over 35 years managing stores in several states. He loved his work and enjoyed the associates and helping customers.  You would usually find him out on the floor where people were shopping.  Most often he worked 7 days a week.

Bill loved being a parent to Teresa and Chris.  He celebrated their achievements and consoled them in any disappointments.  He rode bicycles with them in Colorado, took them camping and skiing in Utah.  He cheered for them in sports and listened to their musical recitals.  In his opinion they grew up much too fast.

Upon his retirement he and his wife Judy moved to a golfing community at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri.  Here he enjoyed golfing with the guys, riding his Spyder motorcycle and reading many books on his Kindle.

In 2024 Bill and his wife moved to Meridian, Idaho, to be closer to both of their children.  On Saturdays in the fall Bill would watch football, especially college football.  Then he would call a friend and discuss all the plays and make predictions about outcomes.

Bill is survived by his wife, Judy of 57 years; a daughter Dr. Teresa Anderson (Brad); son Christopher (Heidi); his grandchildren Katherine Andersen, Dave Andersen, Molly Beasley, Will Beasley; step grandchildren Mason Seeley and Avery Seeley and niece Staci McMillan and nephew Derrick Rios.

He preceded in death by his parents David and Ada Lee Beasley, brother David and wife Carol and niece Jennifer Rios.

Bill will be greatly missed by his wife, children, grandchildren and friends.

Bill will be remembered at a Memorial Mass at the Catholic Church of the Risen Christ.  Placement will be at St. Katherine Cemetery in Belleville, Kansas.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 26, 2025 at St Katherine Catholic Cemetery, rural Belleville, Kansas with Fr. Ryan McCandless, officiating.

Peace be with you Bill.
