William E. Hodgins Jr. William E. "Bill" Hodgins Jr., son of Earl Hodgins and Ola Elvira (Cory) Hodgins was born June 25, 1923 at Belleville, Kansas and passed away on November 9, 2016 at Belleville, Kansas at the age of 93 years, 4 months and 14 days. Bill attended Belleville Public schools and graduated from Belleville High School with the class of 1942. He was united in marriage to Leta B. Jacobs and to this union three sons and four daughters were born. Bill was a farmer and self employed carpenter. He did Custom Sheep Shearing and Blocking. He did custom hay swathing and was a 4-H Leader helping children with there sheep. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Ola Hodgins, wife, Leta B. Hodgins, son, Thomas Laverne Hodgins, grandson, Timothy Jarboe, one brother, John C. Hodgins, two Sisters, Fredia Mary Hodgins, June Lyons. He is survived by four daughters, E. Marie (Rev. Ralph) Jarboe of Salina, KS., Maida A. Lancaster of Artesia, CA., Barbara J. Hodgins of Belleville, KS., Judith G. (Don) Melby of Scandia, KS., two sons, John J. (Donna) Hodgins of Riley, KS., William Allen Hodgins of Belleville, KS., 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held Two PM, Monday, November 14, 2016, Bachelor-Surber Memorial Chapel, Belleville, KS., conducted by, Rev. Ralph Jarboe. Interment will be in Belleville Cemetery, Belleville, KS. Memorials may be given to Family Choice.
