Obituary of Virginia D. Molzahn
Virginia D. Molzahn, the daughter of Joseph Brabec and Elvenia (Kozeluh) Brabec, was born July 7, 1926 at the family farm in rural Narka, Kansas and passed away on February 20, 2022 at the age of 95 years, 7 months, and 13 days.
Virginia grew up in rural Narka, attending the Albion Country School and Narka High School, graduating in 1944. Following her graduation, she worked at the ASCS Office and later at the Belleville Telescope in Belleville.
On February 5, 1951, she was united in marriage to Alvin Milner, Jr and to this union was born one son: Kevin. The couple farmed on the family farm in rural Narka. Alvin preceded her in death on March 13, 1982.
On August 24, 1984, she was united in marriage to Walter Molzahn and they engaged in farming and made their home in rural Narka, Kansas.
Virginia was a member of the United Methodist Church in Munden, Kansas and later the First United Methodist Church in Belleville, Kansas.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Elvenia Brabec; her first husband, Alvin Milner, Jr; one sister, Irene, and one brother, Max.
She is survived by her husband, Walter Molzahn, of rural Narka, Kansas; one son, Kevin (Shanelle) Milner of rural Narka, Kansas; one sister, Josephine (John) Sheridan of Belleville, Kansas; 3 step grandchildren: Jeremy Heckathorn, Matthew Heckathorn, and Sadie Sisson; nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Graveside Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, March 4, 2022 at the National Cemetery rural Narka, Kansas with Pastor Deb Hadachek and Reverend Sang Hak Lee, officiating.
Interment will follow at the National Cemetery, rural Narka, Kansas,
Friends may call for visitation from 1 PM until 8 PM on Thursday at the Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home where the family will greet friends from 6 PM until 8 PM on Thursday.
Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church, Belleville, Kansas.
