Velma M. Kirk

Velma Marie Kirk, daughter of Harold Ettleman and Lillian (Kauer) Ettleman was born July 13, 1922 at rural Cuba, Kansas and passed away on August 24, 2012 at Belleville Health Care Center, Belleville, Kansas at the age of 90 years, 1 month and 11 days. Velma graduated from Haddam High School, Haddam, Ks. She was united in marriage to James T. Kirk on May 18, 1943 and to this union one daughter (Linda) was born. Velma was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Lillian Ettleman, husband, James T. Kirk, one brother, Virgil Ettleman, one sister, Delores Petersen. She is survived by one daughter, Linda Wanklyn and her husband Gilbert of Plattsburg, Missouri, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held Ten Thirty AM, Tuesday, August 28, 2012, Bachelor-Surber Memorial Chapel, Belleville, Ks, conducted by, Pastor Mark Imel. Interment will be in Belleville Cemetery, Belleville, Ks Memorials may be given to Family Choice Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, Ks in charge of arrangements.
