Obituaries of Steven A. Torres and Sherry L. Torres          

            Steven Anthony Torres, the son of Frank Torres and Maureen (Hallinan) Dore, was born August 14, 1957 in Denver, Colorado and passed away on November 16, 2019 in Belleville, KS at the age of 62 years, 3 months, an 2 days.

            Sherry Lee Torres, the daughter of Gerald Tate Walker and Mariam Mary Louis (Boulier) Hancock, was born October 14, 1957 in Syracuse, New York and passed away on November 16, 2019 at Belleville, KS at the age of 62 years, 1 month, and 2 days.

            Steven and Sherry were united in marriage on July 30, 2011.     Sherry was a LPN Nurse for many years and Steven owned/operated several businesses.    In 2008, the couple became owners and operators of Christian Assisted Living in Aurora, Colorado.   The couple operated the facility until just recently when they sold the business and moved to Belleville, KS to make their home.

            Sherry was preceded in death by her parents. 

            Steven and Sherry are survived by five children,  Christopher Nami , of Denver, CO, Tylor Sherman of Denver, CO, Brenda Finnegan of Omaha, NE, Sandra Fuller of Omaha, NE, and Tiffany Torres of Aurora, Colorado; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

            Steven is also survived by his parents, Frank Torres and Maureen Dore;  one brother, Christopher Torres, and two sisters, Stephanie Kimbrel and Christa Smith.

            Sherry is also survived by three sisters, Sheila Harrington, Catherine Hancock, and Judy Hancock.

            Cremation was selected and memorial services will be held at a later date in Denver, Colorado.
