The only child in a family of seven siblings that was not born at home. She passed away on July 13, 2011 at Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 68 years. She was baptized, confirmed and a member of the Chester United Methodist Church for 68 years. She participated in youth activities and choir at church. With her frequent trips to the parents farm, Shirley became very attached to the many farm cats. She fed, nursed and loved each cat. Two Parakeets, Benny and Joey, shared her apartment in Lincoln. She talked, sang, and danced with Benny and Joey. Selling Avon was her past time. She always had an Avon gift for your birthday and Christmas gift. Nieces and Nephews were Shirleys greatest admirations. She never missed sending each one a card on their birthday and Christmas.
