Born on October 24, 1939, in Topeka, Kansas, Sharon's life was marked by resilience and achievement from an early age. She began her journey by overcoming polio as a child-a challenge that only strengthened her determination. Not only did she conquer the disease, but she went on to qualify for the Olympics, excelling in any sport she pursued. Her passion for athletics remained with her throughout her life as a dedicated sports enthusiast.

Her academic achievements laid the foundation for an impressive career that broke barriers and set new standards. She made history as the first Woman Police Chief on a college campus in the nation-a testament to her leadership and pioneering spirit. Beyond law enforcement, she thrived in sales, receiving high honors for her excellence in the field. She also embraced entrepreneurship by successfully running her own business.

A woman of deep faith, Sharon was a devout Christian whose compassion extended beyond her professional accomplishments. She dedicated time to working with underprivileged children, striking a balance between love and discipline to guide and uplift those in need. Her generosity of spirit and unwavering commitment to helping others left an indelible mark on many lives.
