Obituary of Ruby E. Eickmann:

     Ruby E. Eickmann, daughter of Charles Frederick Horak and Elsie Alzina (Nemec) Horak was born April 13, 1935 at rural Munden, Kansas and passed away on September 10, 2019 at Midland Hospice House, Topeka, Kansas at the age of 84 years, 4 months and 27 days.

     Ruby graduated from Munden High School, Munden, Kansas.   She was united in marriage to Glen “Pete” Eickmann on May 29, 1955 and to this union two sons were born, Bruce and Kevin.    Ruby was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in Marysville, KS for many years and retired in 1993.   She volunteered for St. Francis Hospital and the Topeka Library.  She deeply loved her family and football.  

     She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Elsie Horak, husband, Glen “Pete” Eickmann, granddaughter, Samantha, one brother, Johnny Horak, two sisters, Sylvia Weaver and Judy Smith. 

     She is survived by two sons, Bruce (Aimee) Eickmann of Oskaloosa, KS, Kevin (Amy) Eickmann of Cincinnati, OH, four grandchildren, Nicholas, Kayla, Eleanor, Kate, six great grandchildren, two sisters, Marcie Holloway of Belleville, KS, Donna Stehno of Hays, KS, nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

     Graveside services will be held 11:30 AM, Thursday, September 19, 2019, Belleville Cemetery, Belleville, KS, conducted by Rev. Sang Hak Lee.

     Interment will be in Belleville Cemetery, Belleville, KS.

     Memorials may be given to Midland Hospice, Topeka, KS.

     The casket will remain closed.
