Rodney Farmer Obituary

         Rodney Craig Farmer was born March 31, 1955 in Denver, Colorado to Ivan W. and Margaret J.(Harrison) Farmer and passed away August 5, 2025 in his home in Agenda, Kansas at the age of 70 years.

         Rodney graduated high school in the Denver Metro Area in 1973. Upon graduation, Rodney began working at Eagle Claw Fishing Tackle Co. and retired in 2012 after almost 40 years of service. This job spurred Rodney’s lifelong love of fishing. A hobby he passed down to his kids.

        On November 15, 1975, Rodney married Nancy Lynn Brown and to this union, two children were born, Julie and Chris.  Rodney and Nancy made their home in Agenda, Kansas in later years in which Rodney began to volunteer with NCK CASA and helped serve many children in need. Rodney could always be seen sporting a NCK CASA T-Shirt and visiting with anyone who’d take the time to listen.

        Rodney is preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Margaret Farmer, son Chris Allen Farmer, Earl K Brown, G. Edith Brown, Michael E. Brown, and Samuel L. Brown.

        He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Nancy Farmer of Agenda, KS, daughter Julie Ann (Caleb) Bennington of Clyde, KS, brothers, Gil Farmer of Elizabeth, CO, I. Wes (Luanne) Farmer of Strasburg, CO, one sister Linda J. (Mitch) Elwood, two granddaughters, Caitlynn J. Farmer and Cristiana J. Bennington, one great grandson Maverick C. Danielson and Sandra A. (Jesse) Ocanas, other relatives and friends.

       Memorial Services will be held at the Brantford Covenant Church August 16th at 2:00pm with pastor Michael Ostermann officiating.

       Memorials are suggested to the family in care of Nancy Farmer and can be mailed to the funeral home.
