Obituary of Robert D. “Bob” Molzahn
Robert Dean “Bob” Molzahn, the son of Charles G. and Mabel E. (Walker) Molzahn, was born in Belleville, KS on August 24, 1937 and passed away on November 14, 2021 at the Presbyterian Manor, Clay Center, KS at the age of 84 years, 2 months, and 20 days.
Bob was engaged in farming all of his life and for a good portion of this life also ran a machine shop business in his farm shop.
He was a prior member of the Munden United Methodist Church. After its closing in 2007, he became a member of the First United Methodist Church, Belleville, KS.
He served a ten-year tour as a member of the Kansas National Guard, with ten months active duty at Fort Bliss, Texas.
He was married to Joan (Buller) Gaiser on July 22, 1991.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mabel Molzahn, and one nephew, Kenneth Stier.
Bob is survived by his wife, Joan, of rural Munden, KS; one brother, Walter Molzahn and his wife Virginia of rural Narka, KS; one sister, Carolyn Molzahn of Grand Junction, CO; one niece, Jaymee Macgregor also of Grand Junction, CO; Four step-children, Bradley Gaiser and his wife Marla Sanchez of Los Altos, CA, Teresa Navarro and her husband Jose of San Jose, CA, Marian Nelson and her husband Tyler of Clay Center, KS, and Jeff Gaiser also of Clay Center, KS; two granddaughters, Sydnee Nelson, and Alex Keehn and her husband Cory; other relatives, and friends.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Ida Cemetery, rural Munden, KS with Reverend Sang Hak Lee, officiating.
Interment will follow the services.
Visitation will be from 1 PM until 8 PM on Friday at the Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, KS.
Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church, Meadowlark Hospice, or the Republic County Food Bank.
