Ollie F. Bergstrom

Ollie Frances Bergstrom, died Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Pratt Rehabilitation & Residence Center in Pratt, Kansas. She was born November 21, 1912 in Munden, KS the daughter of Joseph and Marie (Vitamus) Kunc. Ollie received her education at the Bethlehem Country School. Ollie worked at the East Elementary Grade School in Belleville, KS for a number of years. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, where she was former Grand Noble in 1982. She was also a lifetime member of the Czech Club of Republic County and the Republic County Museum. On January 21, 1938 she married Olaf Bergstrom. He died Feb. 15, 1984. Ollie is survived by a daughter Arlene Garland and her husband Tom, Pratt, KS; two granddaughters Lisa Crites and her husband Dan, Great Bend, KS; and Rhonda Marsh and her husband Steven, Eudora, KS; and 6 Great Grandchildren, Braedan, Cassidy, Addison, and Brodie Crites, and Reagan and Paige Marsh. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Alfred and Willie Kunc, and two sisters Anna Sterba, and Georgia Cottam. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 9:00 p.m., Monday August 29, 2011 at Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6:00PM -8:00PM Monday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 30, 2010 at Bachelor-Surber Memorial Chapel, Belleville, KS, with Reverend Barry Brinkman, officiating. Interment will be in the Belleville Cemetery, Belleville, Kansas. Memorials are suggested to the East Elementary Grade School or Republic County Museum.
