Michael E. Kasl Michael E. Kasl, son of Ben E. Kasl and Mary E. (Woodman) Kasl was born September 7, 1943 in Belleville, Kansas and passed away on November 15, 2018 at Republic County Hospital, Belleville, Kansas at the age of 75 years, 2 months and 8 days. Michael attended Belleville Public Schools and graduated from Belleville High School in 1961. He served with the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. He was united in marriage to Carolyn F. Tuma on November 7, 1964 and to this union three children were born, Scott, Michel & Annette. He was a member of the William Fleming American Legion Post No 345, Cuba, Kansas, Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge #3281 Trustee & President, Past president and member of the Kansas Christmas Tree Grower Association . He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Mary Kasl and one sister, Linda Jo Meierhans. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Kasl of Belleville, KS, one son, Scott (Laurie) Kasl of Belleville, KS, two daughters, Michel (Jeff) Scott of Highland, KS, Annette Metz & Robb Kohlmeyer of Washington, KS, 6 grandchildren, Courtney (Kyle) Artman of Topeka, KS, Tyler Kasl of Belleville, KS, Macee Scott of Highland, KS, Mia Scott of Highland, KS, Taylor Metz of Washington, KS, McKenzie Metz of Washington KS, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Monday, November 19, 2018, Kasl Christmas Tree Farm, rural Belleville, KS, conducted by Judy Hill, CMA. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, rural Belleville, KS. Military Graveside services will be conducted by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard and the William Fleming American Legion Post No 345, Cuba, KS. Memorials may be given to KSDS Assistance Dogs Inc, Washington, KS or Belleville Fire Department, Belleville, KS.
