Mary Carlock Obituary

Mary Ann Carlock, the daughter of Robert E. Heapes and Mildred (Tuma) Heapes, was born March 15, 1958 at Caney, Kansas and passed away on June 25, 2012 at Alexander, Arkansas at the age of 54 years, 3 months, and 10 days. Mary Ann grew up in Belleville, where she graduated from Belleville High School. She moved to Stuttgart, Arkansas where she attended the Pulaski Vo-Tech School. She was united in marriage to John Carlock and to this union was born one daughter: Jessica. Mary Ann worked for Atkinson and Co. She later moved to Alexander, Arkansas where she worked for Grand National Carriers. Her grandchildren were her joy. She was preceded in death by her father Robert Heapes, brother Victor, and an infant brother. Mary Ann is survived by her daughter Jessica and husband Jamie Rivera and five grandchildren all of Alexander, Arkansas; her mother: Mildred Heapes ; a sister Sheri (Robert) Blazek, and brother Clayton all of Bellevile, KS and a sister Judith (Dan) Cameron of Red Water, TX, other relatives and many friends. Cremation was chosen and a memorial service was held July 3, 2012 at the Wesleyan Church, Belleville, KS with Pastor Mark McGregor, officiating. Inurnment was held at the Belleville Cemetery under the direction of the Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, KS.
