Marvin L. Earley, the son of Donald and Elgie Mae (Jermark) Earley, was born May 15, 1943 in Concordia, Kansas and passed away July 08, 2024 at Republic County Hospital at the age of 81 years.
Marvin grew up south of Formoso, Kansas on a farm and graduated from the Class of 1961 from Belleville High School. This is where he met his high school sweetheart Ramona Reed.
The two were married on August 12th, 1962 and never left each other’s side until Ramona’s death in 2023.
Marvin began his career as a butcher in Manhattan, Kansas. This trade followed him to Thornton, Colorado in 1971 where he and Ramona called home until their retirement in 2005. Marvin was an excellent butcher and worked over 40 years for King Soopers in the Denver area traveling to various stores that needed his expertise.
In the Spring of 2005, Marvin and Ramona retired and moved to Sun City, Arizona, where they spent the next 15 years of their life enjoying the people, the weather, and the golfing.
During his life, Marvin found a love for golf. He and Ramona golfed in every state and state capital except for Alaska and Hawaii. Marvin loved golf so much that one of the reasons they retired to Sun City was to play golf year round. Marvin also enjoyed music and would collect records and copy the music over to tapes to give to family and friends.
In May of 2023, Marvin and Ramona moved to Beloit, Kansas to be closer to family and friends.
