Obituary of Lynn E. (Boylan) Rippe

            Lynn E. (Boylan) Rippe, the daughter of Cheslie Carl Boylan and Enola Evelyn (Steier) Boylan, was born December 27, 1947 in Superior, NE and passed away on July 24, 2025 at the Ohio Eastern Star Home, Mt. Vernon, Ohio at the age of 77 years.

            Lynn graduated with a Bachelor in Economics from Kansas State University in 1969 and received a Master of Business Administration from Southern Illinois University in 1977.

            She was a contract specialist with the US Navy Construction Battalion, at Port Hueneme, California from 1989 until 1993.   She then was the senior contract administrator, University of California, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory from 1993 until 1998.     From 1998-2021, Lynn was the sub-contracts manager at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and then from 2021 until 2025, she was an advisor and consultant for Windchime Meadows, LLC.  In recent years, Lynn lived in Mt. Vernon, Ohio to be near family

            Lynn was a member of the National Contract Management Association; Tri-Valley Chapter Vice President from 1995-1996; Valley Chapter President 1996-1997; National Director from 1997-1998, 2000-2001, and 2003-2007 and was National Vice President from 2001-2003. 

            She was preceded in death by her parents, Cheslie and Enola Boylan.

            Lynn is survived by two sons, Douglas Rippe of Sunbury, OH, and Christopher Rippe of Florence, TX; two grandchildren, Samantha and Alexandra; two sisters, Pamela Pollock and Kimberly Stanford both of Waco, TX; other relatives and friends.

            Graveside services will be held at 10 AM, Friday, August 1, 2025 at the Prairie Rose Cemetery, rural Republic, KS.

            Friends and family may gather at the cemetery prior to services.    No visitation is planned at the funeral home.

             In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Republic County Food Bank or the Alley Cat Allies Foundation and be sent in care of the funeral home.
