Lonnie Dean Craig was born May 5, 1959 in Inglewood, California to Lloyd E. and Wanda D. (George) Craig and passed away March 16, 2026 at his home in Munden, Kansas, at the age of 66, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.

Lonnie graduated from Chester High School in 1977. Early on, he worked for Alsop Sand Company before working for KDOT for 5 years. His career of 25+ years found him at the Republic County Road Department. He later worked for Reinke Manufacturing.

He was involved with the Belleville Masonic Lodge and the Brantford Covenant Church. He was also an active storm spotter, member of the church choir, an avid hunter and fisherman, but above all, the most important thing to him was his family. He loved his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Lonnie will be remembered by his children, Clayton Craig of Munden, Kansas;, Amy (Jamon) Harms, of Deshler, Nebraska; Nathan (Jennifer) Craig of Munden, Kansas; and Evan Craig of Manhattan, Kansas. Sister Micki (Richard) Smith of Texas, brothers-in-law, Frederick (Sharon) Hudson of Aurora, Colorado, Albert (Judy) Hudson of Kansas, and Roger Hoffmeyer of Deshler, Nebraska, sister-in-law, Brenda (Melvin) Keim of Kansas.
