Obituary of John D. Hartenberger
John Douglas Hartenberger, the son of Harold Fredrick Hartenberger and Doris Irene Newman, was born December 22, 1952 in Newton, Kansas and passed away on December 30, 2021 in Belleville, Kansas at the age of 69 years and 8 days.
John grew up in the Newton, Kansas area, graduating from Newton High School. John was a buyer/seller for the House of Sight and Sound in Salina, Kansas for several years and he later was a carpenter for the Newton, Kansas Train Depot Renovation.
He was united in marriage to Andrea Jane Rotolo in 1971 and to this union was born, Falisha Ann Kiendel and Jorel Fredrick Hartenberger. They were later divorced, but remained close friends and loved each other throughout life.
John enjoyed being surrounded by nature, and adored camping trips with his family, driving half way across Kansas to find the best camping and fishing sites. The family trips built great memories with the simplicity of spending time together.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Hartenberger and Doris Newman.
He is survived by Andrea Rotolo; son, Jorel F. (Sarah) Hartenberger of Delaware and their son, Kalel ; daughter, Falisha (William) Kiendel of Washington State and their daughter, Astrid; one brother, and 4 sisters, nieces and nephews; other relative and friends.
