Jeanette and her "womb buddy" Joanne were known throughout the area as the "Kettelhut twins." They were identical and liked to pull pranks on people, including those closest to her. On November 24, 1960, she was united in marriage to Richard D. Mohrmann and to this union was born, Amy, Jonathan, Lisa, and Jill. The couple made their home on the farm in rural Byron where she was a homemaker.
Jeanette was a farm wife and spent time taking meals to the field, checking the corn with Richard, and driving a tractor and grain cart at harvest. She had a strong and unwavering faith that she quietly shared with those around her. She spent many hours at her kitchen table with her Bible and a cup of coffee reading and studying. Over the years, those moments were shared with family and friends and usually cake! She touched lives with her kindness and caring. She always shared the love of Jesus with those around her. Jeanette taught Sunday School and was a member of the choir. She also served on the Church Council.
Jeanette also was involved in an Extension Club, a 4-H leader, a bowling team substitute, and was a member of the quilt guild. Her pastimes included gardening, tending her flowers, reading, journaling, quilting, helping with the farm and spending time with Richard.
