Obituary of Janet F. (Legg) Ridder

            Janet F. (Legg) Ridder, passed away in Macon, GA on December 2, 2020 at the age of 71.   She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.   Janet was the daughter of John “Jack” and Fern Legg, born on March 10, 1949 and the second of five children.  

            Janet grew up in Belleville and graduated from Belleville High School in 1967.   She married Lynn F. Ridder on June 15, 1968 in Belleville.   From this union of 52 years plus, two children, Teresa and Troy, were born.   She worked for Teledyne Water-Pic in Ft. Collins, CO and later became a licensed State Farm Agent in Mt. Pleasant, MI.

            In 2006, Janet became a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Chapter 1462 in Albany, GA.  She was elevated to Deputy Grand Regent for the State of Georgia and received a lifetime membership within the Moose organization.

            She was preceded in death by her parents, and older brother Jimmie Jack.  

            She is survived by her husband, Lynn F. Ridder of Belleville, KS; daughter, Teresa (Scott) Rogers of Pearland, TX;  son, Troy Ridder and Jamie Cline of Midland, MI and four grandchildren, Kristen, Erin, Kyle, and Cody; one brother, Frank (Kay) Legg of Beatrice, NE;  two sisters, RaeJeanne Lowery of Hebron, NE, and Sandy (Mike) Cole of Belleville, KS.   She leaves many more family members that will miss her greatly.   We will carry her memory forever in our hearts.

            Cremation was selected and Memorial Services will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, July 17, 2021 at the Union Valley Cemetery, rural Belleville, KS with Pastor Kathy Aeillo, officiating. 

            Inurnment will follow the services.

            Memorials are suggested to Moose Charities, 155 South International Drive, Mooseheart, Illinois 60539.
