Obituary of James A. Rollins
James A. Rollins, the son of Roland and Katherine Rollins, was born April 20, 1954 in Manchester, New Hampshire and passed away on February 18, 2022 at Bryan LGH East in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 67 years, 9 months, and 28 days.
James grew up and attended school in Epping, New Hampshire where he graduated from Epping Junior/Senior High School. Following his graduation, he enlisted with the U. S. Army, serving 14 years. He was stationed in Ft. Lewis, Washington and served in Germany and Korea during the Vietnam War.
James then attended Clover Park Technical College in Lakewood, Washington where he attained an Associate of Arts degree in Communications. He worked for several years with tele-communication companies as a technician James later was self-employed doing home inspections in Puyallup, Washington and in Tacoma, Washington.
On October 1, 2005, he was united in marriage to Susan Whitney and she survives. The couple made their home in Puyallup, Washington, moving to Belleville, Kansas on July 22, 2021 to be near family.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Katherine Rollins.
He is survived by his wife Susan Rollins of Belleville, Kansas; children: Devin Wilson of Washington, Fawn Whitney of Washington, Chelsy (Jon) Tornatore of Belleville, Kansas, Jessica Hamilton of Washington, and Jamie Pham of Oregon; one brother, Mike (Nancy) Rollins of Florida; 12 grandchildren; several half- brothers and sisters, other relatives, and friends.
Cremation was selected and private family services will be held at a later date.
