Obituary of James A. Bowersox

            James A. Bowersox, 54, the son of Warren Lynn Bowersox and Janet Jeanine (Crannell) Bowersox, was born July 15, 1966 in Belleville, Kansas and passed away on June 17, 2021 in Concordia, Kansas.

            James grew up in Belleville, attending the local public schools, graduating from Belleville High School.     He then worked for Sunflower Mfg. in Beloit, KS for 26 years as a drill press operator.     He later moved to Concordia, KS where he  worked in maintenance at the Concordia Wal-Mart and was still employed at the time of his death.    James was a dedicated and dependable employee all of his life.

            He was preceded in death by his mother, Janet Bowersox; and two brothers, Jeff Bowersox and David Bowersox.

            James is survived by two sisters, Vicky Griggs of Garden City, KS and Lisa (John) Stinson of Wichita, KS; his father, Lynn Bowersox of Belleville, KS; nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; other relatives, and friends.

            Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 26, 2021 at the Belleville Cemetery, Belleville, KS with Pastor Jacob Rice, officiating.

            Interment will follow the services.

            Visitation will be from 1 PM until 6 PM on Friday at the Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, KS.

            Memorials are suggested to the Special Olympics.
