Gloria Lynn Walthers of Cuba, Kansas passed away on Friday, April 3rd  2026  at  her home in Cuba at the age of 70.

Gloria was born Oct. 24th 1955 in Belleville, KS to Davey and Lois Lahodny . 

She graduated from Belleville High School in 1974. She was employed at First National Bank in Belleville, KS as a teller before moving to Salina, Kansas. She then worked at First Bank Kansas in Salina for seven years where she was promoted to vault teller at just 23 years old.

Gloria married Dave Walthers on April 25, 1981 at the Presbyterian Church in Salina, KS, and made their home in Cuba, Kansas.  

Gloria began her career with Mary Kay in 1979 as a consultant. After just one year she became a sales director and held the title of Mary Kay Sales Director for 46 years. She received several accolades through Mary Kay and was a member of the Four Hundred Thousand Dollar Sales Club for several years. Her sales abilities earned Gloria several pink Cadillac’s for her hard work and dedication. 

She also had a great love for animals especially her many cats that were a part of her and Dave's family. Her special cat Mr. Paw Paw kept her company on a daily basis looking for scratches and “lovey-dovey”.

Gloria is survived by her husband Dave Walthers of Cuba, KS, mother, Lois J Lahodny of Belleville, KS, sister Carol (Mike) Ballard of North Richland Hills, Texas, brothers Bill (Denise) Lahodny of Concordia, KS, Bryan (Casi) Lahodny of Montgomery, Texas, and Danny Lahodny of Belleville, KS.

Gloria was preceded in death by her father Davey Lahodny, and Brother David Glenn Lahodny.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 8th from 1:00-6:00pm at Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, KS.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, April 9th, 2:00 pm at the Cuba Presbyterian Church, Cuba, KS. 

Interment will follow at  National Bohemian (Kopsa) Cemetery, Cuba, KS.

Memorials can be designated to the Cuba Presbyterian Church or KSDS Assistance Dogs in care of the funeral home.
