Gladys Johnson Obituary

Gladys M. Johnson, daughter of Robert White and Lillian (Cibolski) White was born November 27, 1928 at Belleville, Kansas and passed away on September 2, 2012 at McPherson Memorial Hospital, McPherson, Ks at the age of 83 years, 9 months and 14 days. Gladys attended Belleville Public Schools and graduated from Belleville High School in 1946. She was united in marriage to Everett Lee Johnson on March 21, 1948 and to this union two children came to bless this home, Bryan and Shari. Gladys was a homemaker and loved working in her garden and feeding the birds. She was an avid Antique lover. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Scandia, Ks, United Methodist Women, Scandia Bridge Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Lillian White, one great grandson, Kaiden Jay Piersee, one brother, Bobby White, one sister, Ruth Tallent. She is survived by her husband, Everett Johnson of McPherson, Ks, one son, Bryan Johnson of Salina, Ks, one daughter, Shari Piersee (Doug Cornelson) of McPherson, Ks, six grandchildren, Alisha Thompson of Wichita, Ks, Joe Johnson of Wichita, Ks, Nichole (Paul) Carver of McPherson, Ks, Natasha Piersee (Dustin Stubby) of Hays, Ks, Megan Piersee (Cody Palecek) of Munden, Ks, Kirstin Piersee of Concordia, Ks, three great grandchildren, Jacob Carver, Kamryn Carver, Braxten Stubby, one brother, Vernon (Shorty) and Karen White of Junction City, Ks, Sister in law, Edith White of Houston, TX, Brother in law, Harold Tallent of Loveland, CO., brother and sister in law, Ric and Louise Johnson of Washington, Ks, nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held Ten Thirty AM, Thursday, September 6, 2012, United Methodist Church, Scandia, Kansas, conducted by, Pastor Kathy Aeillo. Interment will be made in Riverview Cemetery, Scandia, Kansas Memorials may be given to Family Choice.
