Glada M (Thompson) Isaacson

Obituary of Glada M. Isaacson:

     Glada M. Isaacson, daughter of Rolla Robert Thompson and Lillie Almena (Houder) Thompson was born June 20, 1934 at rural Courtland, Kansas and passed away on August 5, 2021 at Republic County Hospital, Belleville, Kansas at the age of 87.

     Glada graduated from Scandia High School in 1953 and attended Kansas State University.  She was united in marriage to Loren D. Isaacson on July 29, 1956.  She was a Home Economics teacher at Scandia High School and a homemaker.

     She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Scandia, KS, UMW, 4-H leader-Sherdahl Boosters, member of the Eastern Star, Daughters of American Revolution, Desire Toby Sears.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, Rolla and Lillie Thompson, husband, Loren Isaacson, son, Barry Isaacson,  sister, Kathryn Kirk, brothers, Andy, Alva, George, Linn, Rex.

     She is survived by one daughter, Marcy (Jerry) Crist of Lincoln, Nebraska, six grandchildren, DeLani (Dan) Kibbe, Eric (Kirsten) Isaacson, Alexander (Jessica) Pagel, Brandon (Megan) Isaacson, Spencer (Chelsea) Pagel, Natasha (Mitchell) Douglas, seventeen great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, Glen (Sharon) Kirk, Alan (Erna Reye) Kirk, Shirley Johnson, Delores (Gerry) Thompson, Joe (Mary) Thompson, Judy (Charlie) Huffman, Colleen (Mel) Cailteux, Nancy (Lorraine) Nobert, other relatives and many friends.

     Funeral services will be held Ten Thirty AM, Saturday, August 14, 2021, United Methodist Church, Scandia, KS, conducted by, Pastor Sandra Jellison-Knock.

     Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Scandia, KS.

     Memorials may be given to United Methodist Church, Scandia, KS or Scandia Museum.

     Friends may call on Friday, August 13, 2021 from 1 PM to 8 PM at Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Scandia, KS, where the family will greet friends from 5 PM to 7 PM.
