Frances Prentiss

Frances Prentiss, daughter of Bert Cooley and Mary Jane (Carr) Cooley was born November 5, 1929 at Leakesville, MS. and passed away on November 3, 2016 at Republic County Hospital, Belleville, KS at the age of 86. She graduated from Leakesville High School. She was united in marriage to Russell A. Prentiss on July 13, 1947 and to this union two daughters were born, Beverly F. and Janet L. She was a member of the Greene Lodge Methodist Church, Leakesville, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Mary Jane Cooley, daughter Beverly and her husband Jim and grandson James, sisters, Flora Moss, Hazel Cruze, Magaline, brother, Darrell C. Cooley. She is survived by her husband, Russell A. Prentiss of Chester, Nebraska, one daughter, Janet L. (Don) Breland of Chester, Nebraska, five grandchildren, Robert W. (Christie) Breland Jr. , Beverly R. (Chris) Corman, Janet A. (Josh) Deal, Don Breland Jr., Misty L. (Michael) Svoboda, nine great grandchildren, two sisters, Lee Moore of Chester, Nebraska, Bert (Paul) Lyvonn of Middletown, PA, nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held Ten AM, Monday, November 7, 2016, United Methodist Church, Chester, Nebraska, conducted by, Pastor Young Je Kim. Interment will be in Chester Cemetery, Chester, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to Family Choice. Friends may call on Sunday from 1 PM to 9 PM at Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Chester, Nebraska, where the family will receive friends from 4 PM to 5 PM Sunday.
