Obituary of Diane E. Woodman:
Diane Elizabeth Woodman, daughter of LaVerne G. Hanel and Peggy J.(Danielson) Hanel was born August 21, 1951 at Belleville, Kansas and passed away on September 12, 2024 at Bryan Medical Center West in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 73
Diane attended Belleville Public Schools and graduated from Belleville High School. She was united in marriage to Marlin Woodman on February 21, 1971 and to this union two daughters were born, Lori and Dawn. She was a homemaker and worked as a Day Care provider for over 46 years taking care of children.
Diane was a member of the Belleville Wesleyan Church and was a ham radio operator and club secretary for several years and a former member of the EHU.
She was preceded in death by her parents, LaVerne and Peggy Hanel, step mother, Evelyn Hanel, one sister, Barbara.
She is survived by her husband, Marlin Woodman of Belleville, KS., two daughters, Lori Hall of Belleville, KS., Dawn (Craig) Eckhart of Salina, KS. five grandchildren, Hannah Hall of Scandia, KS., Garet Hall of Scandia, KS., Michael Moravek of Salina, KS., Melody Moravek of Salina, KS, Shawn Eckhart of Salina, KS., two brothers, Alan Hanel of Belleville, KS., James Hanel of TX., one sister, Verna Joyce Robert of Waco, TX., other relatives and many friends.
Cremation was selected
Memorial services will be held Ten Thirty AM, Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Belleville Wesleyan Church, Belleville, KS, conducted by, Pastor Mark McGregor.
Inurnment will be in Belleville Cemetery, Belleville, KS.
Memorials may be given in care of Marlin Woodman, Belleville, KS.
Friends may sign the register book from 1 PM to 6 PM on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, KS, where the family will greet friends from 5 PM to 6 PM.
