 Obituary of Diane L. Hardenburger

               Diane L. Hardenburger, 73, of Belleville, KS, the daughter of Duard Hiatt and Irene (Bundy) Hiatt, was born December 15, 1949 in Concordia, Kansas and passed away on September 15, 2023 at Republic County Hospital.

            Diane attended school in Blue Rapids and Clay Center, KS, moving with her family to Belleville, KS, where she graduated from Belleville High School in 1967.   She then attended beauty school in Salina, Kansas.

            Diane was a hairdresser for several years in Wichita, Manhattan, Belleville and Narka, Kansas.     She then worked at the Dairy Queen in Belleville, Kansas where she was manager, working 24 years until her retirement in 2016.

            On November 6, 1976 in Belleville, she was united in marriage to Mike Hardenburger and to this union was born, Travis and Drew.

            Diane was involved with 4-H, serving as a leader for several years.  She enjoyed attending her children, grandchildren and nieces and nephews school and athletic events. Diane also enjoyed making memories with family and friends. 

            She was preceded in death by her parents, Duard and Irene Hiatt, and her mother and father-in-law, Vern and Pauline Hardenburger.

            Diane is survived by her husband Mike Hardenburger of Belleville, KS;  two sons, Travis (Miranda) Hardenburger of Wamego, KS and Drew (Erin) Hardenburger of Belleville, KS;  three grandchildren,  Peyton Hardenburger of Wamego, KS, Beckett & Brinley Hardenburger of Belleville, KS;  two sisters, Julie Patton of Abilene, KS and Kathy (Steve) Anderson of Belleville, KS; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

            Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 30, 2023 at the Central Christian Church, Belleville, KS with Pastor Jol Klein, officiating.     The family requests casual attire for the service.

            Inurnment will follow at the Belleville Cemetery, Belleville, KS.

            Friends may call from 1 PM until 8 PM on Friday, September 29th at the Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, KS where the family will greet friends from 6 PM until 8 PM on Friday.

            Memorials are suggested to the Diane L. Hardenburger Memorial.
