Obituary of Cory E. Jones

            Cory Edward Jones, the son of LeRoy A. Jones and Patricia A. (Anderson) Jones, was born September 17, 1975 in Concordia, KS and passed away on November 18, 2021 at the Blue Valley Lutheran Nursing Home, Hebron, NE, at the age of 46 years, 2 months, and 1 day.

            Cory received his education with the Region V Services in Belleville, KS and Hebron, NE.  For the past several years, he had made his home at the Blue Valley Lutheran Nursing Homes in Hebron, NE.

            Cory’s greatest love was his family.   His greatest gift to anyone he came into contact with was his smile.   It would instantly melt your heart.   Cory loved being out in God’s creations:  going for walks, watching the trees change, watching the clouds before a thunderstorm and watching it snow.  He loved it all.

            He was preceded in death by his parents:   LeRoy in September of 2016 and Patricia in November of 2016, and one brother, Jeff in June of 2014.

            Cory is survived by two sisters, Becky (Travis) Winn of Hebron, NE Cindy (Todd) Mumm of Bertrand, NE; one brother, Rick Jones of Edgerton, Ohio; Nieces and Nephews:  Andrea (Tyler) Rabe, Dustin (Emily) Mumm, Dillen Mumm & Sarah Dannehl, Whitney Mumm, Trenton Jones, Rachel Jones, Alex Jones, Jordan (Charity) Winn, JaLisa (Mike) Novak, and Ashley Jones;  Great Nieces & Nephews:Alyvia & Alyssa Rabe; Quentin, Reeselyn  & Ava Mumm; Erica Kolar, Ryker, Ryton, and Rylan Novak;  his friends and family at the Blue Valley Lutheran Nursing Home; other relatives, and friends.

            Cremation was selected and Memorial Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, December 3, 2021 at the Farmington Cemetery, rural Cuba, KS.

            Inurnment will follow the services.

            Please direct memorials and cards in memory of Cory to the family.     Friends may sign the register book from 1 PM until 5 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
