Obituary of Charles “Rick” Kasper

            Charles Richard “Rick” Kasper, the son of Ernest Kasper and Clara “June” (Henderson) Kasper, was born May 14, 1948 in Concordia, Kansas and passed away on September 26, 2024 in Venice, Florida at the age 76.

            Rick grew up and attended local public schools, graduating from Scandia High School and attended college.

            Rick was united in marriage to Linda “Cherie” Hambly on May 16, 1970 and  had one son, Jeff Kasper.     Rick lived the majority of his married life in Arlington, Kansas where he held various handyman and factory jobs throughout his life.  In recent years, he made his home in Venice, Florida.

            He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda “Cherie” Kasper; parents, Ernest and Clara June Kasper; and siblings, David Kasper and Linda Freed.

            Rick is survived by one son, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Kasper; 3 grandchildren and one great granddaughter; sisters, Cathy Scarlett and Mary Kelley; other relatives and friends.

            Graveside Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, October 28, 2024 at the Tabor Cemetery, rural Munden, KS with Celebrant Waylon Sheetz, officiating.

            Friends and family may gather at the cemetery prior to the services.

            Inurnment will follow the memorial services.
