Arthur C. Goppert

Arthur Charles Goppert, son of Roy O. Goppert and Anna (Buss) Goppert was born September 28, 1932 at rural Wayne, Kansas and passed away on April 26, 2012 at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas at the age of 79 years, 6 months and 28 days. He served with the U.S. Navy from May 7, 1952 to November 26, 1954 during the Korean Conflict. He was a Farmer and Stockman. He was united in marriage to Marilyn Havel Green on April 3, 1980. He is a member of the VFW. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Anna Goppert, wife, Marilyn Goppert, one sister, Vera Mae. He is survived by one step son, Gerry Green of Emporia, Ks., one brother, LeRoy Goppert of Assaria, Ks., Nieces and Nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held Ten Thirty AM, Monday, April 30, 2012, Bachelor-Surber Memorial Chapel, Belleville, Ks., conducted by, Mr. Henry Strnad. Interment will be made in Zion Cemetery, rural Talmo, Ks., Military Graveside services by U.S. Navy Honor Guard. Memorials may be given to Family Choice.
