Arlene Frazier Obituary

Arlene Frazier, the daughter of Ray Jensen and Ocie Pearl (Roper) Jensen was born March 27, 1925 at Lovewell, KS and passed away on December 7, 2016 at Republic County-Long Term Care, Belleville, KS at the age of 91 years, 8 months, and 10 days. Arlene attended school in her early years at Courtland, KS and graduated from Lovewell High School in 1943. Following her graduation, she worked for her father's carpentry and farming business as a bookkeeper. She later worked as a ward clerk in the Sandstone, Minnesota hospital for several years. Arlene also cleaned houses and did babysitting while she lived in the state of Washington. She later was a secretary at the feedlot in Scandia, KS. Arlene was married for several years to William Paul Frazier. They lived in the Courtland, KS area for several years and he preceded her in death. In recent years, she made her home in Belleville, KS. Arlene was a member of the Central Christian Church, Belleville, KS. She loved children, to dance, and gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Nora, Evelyn and Vera; one brother, Loren; and her husband Paul Frazier. Arlene is survived by one daughter, Pat Fredrickson of Belleville, KS; one brother, Allan (Neva) Jensen of Courtland, KS; a step-daughter, Evy Landon of Eudora, KS; 3 grandchildren; and one great grandchild; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at the Bachelor-Surber Memorial Chapel, Belleville, KS with Pastor Jeremy Wittwer, officiating. Friends may call from One PM until 9 PM on Monday and from 9 AM until service time on Tuesday at Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, KS. Interment will be at the Courtland Cemetery, Courtland, KS. Memorials are suggested to Republic County-Long Term Care.
