Obituary of Nadine M. Stutzman Nadine May Stutzman, daughter of Ival J. Stutzman and Vera R. (Baldwin) Stutzman was born December 25, 1929 in Belleville, KS and passed away on March 13, 2019 at Republic County Hospital, Belleville, KS at the age of 89 years, 2 months and 18 days. Her family moved to Chester, Nebraska where she started school and graduated from Chester High School in 1948. She completed two years at Fairbury Jr College and also took some classes at the University of Nebraska. She served in a secretarial position for the Republic Co Engineer, worked a short time for the Republic Co Treasurer and worked many years as a legal secretary for Frank G. Spurney. Nadine served as Republic County Register of Deeds from March 7, 1977 to December 31, 1993. She served as the organist, choir director and Sunday school teacher at First United Methodist Church, Belleville, KS for many years and was a certified lay minister. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ival and Vera Stutzman. She is survived by one cousin, Dr. John (Jeannie) Baldwin of Twain Hart, California, and many friends. Funeral services will be held Ten AM, Saturday, March 16, 2019, Bachelor-Surber Memorial Chapel, Belleville, KS, conducted by, Rev. Emily Meckley. Interment will be in Belleville Cemetery, Belleville, KS. Memorials may be given to Nadine M. Stutzman Memorial Fund.
