MEMORIAL FAMILY PRIVATE GRAVSIDE SERVICES WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY,  MAY 30, 2020 AT THE TABOR CEMETERY, RURAL MUNDEN, KANSAS

MILITARY GRAVESIDE RITES WILL BE CONDUCTED WITH INURNMENT TO FOLLOW AT THE TABOR CEMETERY. 

  NO VISITATION IS PLANNED AT THE FUNERAL HOME.     

Obituary of Merlyn D. Trzicky

            Merlyn Dale Trzicky, the son of William L. and Lorena B. (Pressnall) Trzicky, was born October 25, 1948 in Belleville, Kansas and passed away on January 18, 2020 at the Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, Kansas at the age of 71 years, 2 months, and 23 days.

            Merlyn grew up and attended school in Munden, graduating from Munden High School in 1966.  He then attended K-State University, Manhattan, KS for one year.    He joined the United States Air Force, serving from 1967 until 1971.  He was a munitions specialist and was stationed in Thailand for one year.    Following his discharge, he moved to Wabaunsee, KS, where he worked for UPS and a Service Station.   In 1974, he moved to Munden, KS where he worked for Klings, and later Splichal Hardware.   He then worked at Mark-Clark later Precision Dynamics for several years as an Environmental Safety Coordinator.    He later worked at Alstoms, Nutra Shield, and also Belleville Health Care Center.

            On November 1, 1969, he was united in marriage to Judy Smith and children, Lance, Jerry, and Elizabeth came to bless the home.  The couple had just celebrated 50 years of marriage.  Merlyn was a devoted husband, Father, and Grandfather.

            Merlyn was preceded in death by his Parents, William and Lorena Trzicky; his son, Lance; and his sister Linda Splichal.

            He is survived by his wife, Judy Trzicky of Munden, Kansas;  one son, Jerry (Kathy) Trzicky of Concordia, KS;  one daughter, Elizabeth (Bryce) Swafford of Goddard, KS; 6 grandsons:  Nicholas, Cameron (Lisa), Dustin, Troy, Ashton, and Soryn; 3 brother-in-laws, Bud Smith, Jerry Hudson, and Leroy Splichal; one sister-in-law, Linda Hudson; other relatives, and friends.

            Cremation was selected and Private Family Graveside Memorial Services with Military Graveside Rites will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at the Tabor Cemetery.

            Inurnment will follow the services at the Tabor Cemetery, rural Munden, KS.

            Memorials are suggested to the Merlyn Trzicky Memorial Fund.
