Maurice R. Mitchell

Maurice R. Mitchell, son of Raymond A. Mitchell and Gladys (Campbell) Mitchell was born January 20, 1931 at Rural Byron, Nebraska and passed away on November 14, 2014 at Parkview Haven Nursing Home, Deshler, Nebraska at the age of 83 years, 9 months and 24 days. Maurice graduated from Belleville High School, Belleville, KS. He was united in marriage to Jayne L. Cleveland on September 17, 1950 and to this union two sons and one daughter were born, Michael, Mark, Marta. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Chester, Nebraska and also a community leader. He was a cattleman and farmer. He loved his children and grandchildren and a good game of cards . He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Gladys Mitchell, wife, Jayne L. Mitchell, one brother, Harold Mitchell. He is survived by, two sons, Michael Mitchell of Chester, Nebraska, Mark Mitchell( Deb Ganz) of Lincoln, Nebraska, one daughter, Marta (John) Frey of Lincoln, Nebraska, three grandchildren, Chris Frey of Omaha, Nebraska, Carrie (Matt) Rinne of Lincoln, Nebraska, Catie Frey of Lincoln, Nebraska, one great granddaughter, Emma Rinne of Lincoln, Nebraska, special friend, Lee Moore of Chester, Nebraska, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Cremation was chosen. Memorial services will be held Ten AM, Friday, November 21, 2014, United Methodist Church, Chester, Nebraska, conducted by, Pastor Mark Baldwin. Private family Inurnment will be in Chester Cemetery, Chester, Nebraska at a later date. Memorials may be given to United Methodist Church, Chester, Nebraska or Parkview Haven Nursing Home, Deshler, Nebraska.
