Kevin E Douglas

Kevin Eugene Douglas, 63, of Columbia, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2019, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. He was born October 25, 1955, in Concordia, Kansas, the son of the late Kenneth Eugene and Shirley June (Thompson) Douglas. Kevin was a graduate of the University of Missouri, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in journalism.

Kevin enjoyed his work as a cartoonist and graphic artist, and also worked as a journalist for newspapers in St. Joseph and Kirksville, Missouri. He loved gardening, pets, music, reading, and most of all his family and friends.

Kevin is survived by his husband: Thomas F. Lasley of the home; two sisters: Sheila Thurman (husband Terry) of Atlanta, MO; Judi Turner (husband Kendall) of Clive, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Private Family Services will be held by the family under the direction of the Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, KS.
